Michał Szturomski
A musicologist by education, for many years associated with the Warsaw and Poznań alternative scene - he has released over 20 albums with his participation (including Afro Kolektyw, Nerwowe Wakacje, Duchy, Provinz Posen, Muchy, Szczyl). He is the founder of the Wytwórnia Krajowa label, which promotes Polish independent music - over twenty completed projects have already been released under the label, including albums by the jazz band Niechęć, Pożar w Burdelu theater, or bands such as Organizm, Hotel Kosmos, and many others. In 2016, Requiem Rec. released his first debut album - the experimental radio play "Sowy Polski Podział Gatunkowy".
In 2019, together with Michał Wiraszko from the Muchy band, he created the Provinz Posen project. The band's album was nominated in the world music category for the Fryderyk music award.
Author of music for the films "Chain Reaction" (2017) as a duet of the MNKR with Michał Wiraszko and "The Returning Wave" - an award-winning documentary about the festival in Jarocin.
He is active both as a versatile instrumentalist, session musician, composer and music producer.
In 2022, the solo album of the legend of yass - Jerzy Mazzoll - "Być" was released, which was co-produced and co-written by Michał Szturomski as a music producer, co-author and instrumentalist.
